You will find The Brighton Kayak Company on Brighton Beach, based between the two Piers and in the heart of Brighton's beach land, we are the only company in Brighton allowed and licensed by the City Council to operate from Brighton's beaches. There are plenty of cafés, bars, galleries and shops along the beachfront for those simply wanting to spectate or relax and leave the watersports up to the rest of the family or group.
We work closely with the Council, Brighton Beach Lifeguards and Seafront Office and the RNLI to ensure customer safety is of a high standard. All facilities other than the on site clothing, kit and kayak shop, which has steps are disabled and wheelchair friendly. If you have any particular needs, please do make contact with us prior to any visit so that we can ensure maximum comfort and appropriate attention.
Watersports are dangerous but done correctly and safely you will have nothing but fun. All our staff are fully trained as instructors or similar in various watersports, and all are first aid qualified. We operate under a £5million pound Public Liability Insurance Scheme, covering all premises and activities. Our friendly team of staff are dedicated to your enjoyment and safety, and will do their utmost to ensure that all participants have a memorable day!

Perception Scooter & Gemini - unsinkable. Available for hour, half day and full day rates. All equipment & basic instruction provided – wetsuits available.
Single / tandem parasail ride
20 minutes flying over the sea under a huge parachute. Winched up to 300 ft behind a purpose built boat. Feeling romantic – book a tandem ride at sunset!
Hang on tight in a big doughnut towed behind a power boat.S ingle or double rides available.N ever before has sitting on your butt been so exciting!
Skim over the water however you choose, or try them all! V8 boat & basic tips provided to get you on your feet and hopefully keep you there!
The serious bit!
The Brighton Watersports Company provides complimentary safetey equipment, safety boat patrol, changing rooms, showers, lockers and toilets for all participants. You will be fully insured, our equipment is new and our staff qualified.Wetsuites are also available at an extra charge.
We are the only watersports company that is allowed to operate on the Brighton and Hove City beach, we are very pro-active in providing a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for all to enjoy. To up-hold this reputation we require all participants to obey some basic guidelines…
- You must be able to swim 25 metres.
- You must be over 16yrs or be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- You must not be under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol.
- You must obey all rules, and behave in an acceptable manner
